Ocean City received a $2.45 million state grant to build affordable duplex-style homes that blend into local neighborhoods, fulfilling part of its state-mandated affordable housing obligations. These five duplexes, located near the bay, provide 10 rental units for low- to moderate-income families and are managed with strict occupancy requirements. Following this success, the Ocean City Housing Authority has also planned a $23 million project to replace the outdated Pecks Beach Village complex with 15 new duplex-style buildings, expected to be completed by late 2026.
